How to claim SG60 voucher
Singaporeans 60 & Above Can Claim S$800 SG60 Vouchers from July 1; Adults 21-59 Eligible for S$600 from July 22
Singaporeans are set to receive a financial boost as part of the SG60 Package announced in Budget 2025. All citizens aged 21 and above will receive SG60 vouchers worth S$600 or S$800, depending on their age group, to mark Singapore’s 60th year of independence.
The government revealed that seniors aged 60 and above (born in 1965 or earlier) will be the first to benefit, with vouchers available for claim starting July 1, 2025, at 10am. Meanwhile, adult Singaporeans aged 21 to 59 (born between 1966 and 2004) will be able to claim their vouchers later, from July 22, 2025, at 10am.
Longer Validity Period & Two-Phase Rollout
The SG60 vouchers come with a generous validity period, allowing residents to use them until December 31, 2026. This two-phase rollout aims to ensure seniors receive timely assistance and avoid overwhelming the system during the claim period.
Prime Minister Lawrence Wong announced the initiative, emphasising the government’s commitment to supporting Singaporeans amid rising living costs and celebrating the nation’s milestone anniversary.
Where Can You Use SG60 Vouchers?
SG60 vouchers can be spent at all merchants that currently accept CDC Vouchers, which include participating heartland shops, hawkers, and major supermarkets across the island. Half of the vouchers are earmarked for spending with neighbourhood merchants and hawkers, while the other half can be used at participating supermarkets, providing flexibility for essential purchases.
This targeted spending approach not only benefits residents but also supports local businesses and hawker centres, which remain a vital part of Singapore’s heartland economy.
Special Postcards Celebrate Inclusivity
Adding a thoughtful touch to the SG60 celebrations, every Singaporean will receive one of six specially designed postcards created by local artists with diverse abilities. These postcards will arrive by mail, with seniors receiving theirs from July 22 onwards. The postcards symbolise the inclusive spirit of Singapore’s 60th anniversary and celebrate the country’s commitment to diversity.
How to Claim Your SG60 Vouchers
Claiming the SG60 vouchers follows the familiar process used for CDC vouchers. Singaporeans will receive an SMS from “gov.sg” with a secure link to claim their digital vouchers, ensuring convenience and safety.
For seniors and those less digitally savvy, assistance will be available at Community Centres (CCs) and SG Digital Community Hubs island-wide. The Community Development Councils (CDCs) are partnering with youth and student volunteers to help residents claim their vouchers, especially during the first two weeks of each phase.
In July, about 200 volunteers from public agencies and schools will be stationed at selected CCs to provide one-on-one guidance. Additionally, Singapore Digital Office (SDO) Digital Ambassadors will be present at all CCs throughout July 2025, while Silver Infocomm Wellness Ambassadors will assist seniors during the first week.
Residents keen on learning how to use their vouchers effectively can join daily SG60 Vouchers Learning Journeys at selected CCs, which will provide hands-on guidance on the claim and redemption process.
