Jones was found lying face down outside the hotel, wearing black swim shorts, with visible injuries including bleeding from the mouth and multiple fractures. Witnesses reported hearing a loud thud and attempted to render assistance, but he succumbed to his injuries.

Investigations revealed that the deceased had been staying on the 10th floor. Authorities found no signs of struggle or theft in his room. CCTV footage indicated that no one else had entered or left the room prior to the fall. The body has been sent for autopsy at the Police General Hospital’s Institute of Forensic Medicine, and police are coordinating with the British embassy for legal formalities.

Police continue to probe the circumstances surrounding the fall to determine whether it was accidental or otherwise. The area, popular with tourists, was cordoned off during the investigation to prevent public interference.

Authorities remind anyone experiencing emotional distress or mental health struggles to seek help. In Thailand, the Samaritans of Thailand 24-hour hotline (02 713 6791 in English, 02 713 6793 in Thai) and the Thai Mental Health Hotline (1323 in Thai) are available for support.
