A couple who were guaranteed ‘best priced’ durians from a vendor at Sims Avenue was rather shocked to pay up $600 for the durians. Nicole was with her husband, David, when they chose to buy durians from Wonderful Durians along Sims Avenue past midnight on Dec 27.
While bargining. Nicole and her spouse half asked for a few little kampong durians. The dealer had professedly said that he would offer them a best price for the durians.
Nicole stated, “He cut the durians and place them in the container. At that point he said $600 for 20kg of durians.””I thought he was joking at first. I thought he implied $60, not $600.”
She paid for the durians utilizing NETS and after discovering it was $600, she requested a refund.The merchant at that point revealed to her that they couldn’t issue a discount as the durians had just been opened.
