A late-night traffic incident in northern Singapore has left one man dead and another under arrest, following a serious collision involving a car and a motorcycle in Yishun. Authorities are continuing investigations into the case, which also uncovered a potential illegal vaping offence.
The accident occurred in the early hours of March 26 at the junction of Yishun Avenue 7 and Sembawang Road, a stretch known for moderate traffic flow even during off-peak hours. Emergency services were alerted at around 2:20am, prompting a swift response from both police and paramedics.
According to officials, both the 31-year-old car driver and the 56-year-old motorcyclist were conscious when they were transported to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital for medical treatment. However, despite efforts to stabilise him, the motorcyclist later succumbed to his injuries.
