Residents in a Bangkok neighbourhood were left horrified after multiple live cobras were allegedly thrown into a house during an escalating dispute linked to a luxury motorcycle case.
The shocking incident reportedly took place in Soi Wutthakat 53 in Bangkok’s Chom Thong district, where neighbours discovered several venomous snakes inside a sack that had been tossed into a residential property.
According to Thai media reports, at least five to six cobras were found inside the bag, with some described as being as thick as a person’s arm.
The disturbing case quickly went viral online after local Facebook page “Talad Lang News” shared details of the incident, claiming it may be connected to an unresolved dispute involving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle allegedly worth five million baht (around S$184,000).
Neighbours Fear For Safety Of Children And Elderly Residents
Residents living near the house said the situation has been escalating for months and has caused growing fear throughout the neighbourhood.
A nearby resident, identified only as Ms A, claimed that before the recent snake incident, unknown individuals had repeatedly vandalised the property by throwing paint and stones at the house during both daytime and late-night hours.
She alleged that the harassment became more serious after the perpetrators reportedly began releasing snakes into the property.
According to villagers, there are many elderly residents and children living in the area, raising concerns that the snakes could have escaped into surrounding homes or public spaces.
Some residents reportedly became too frightened to allow their children to play outdoors following the incident.
Others criticised the escalating feud, saying any disagreements should be resolved legally rather than endangering innocent members of the public.
Rescue Volunteer Discovers Sack Filled With Cobras
A rescue volunteer identified as Mr Prasit Nilaphat, 54, said he was contacted by police to assist in removing the snakes from the property.
Upon arriving at the scene, he reportedly climbed over the locked gate after obtaining permission from the homeowner.
Inside the compound, he found a tied sack that appeared to contain moving objects.
Wanting to protect himself legally, Mr Prasit reportedly asked neighbours to record a video showing that he only entered the property to remove the dangerous animals and did not touch any belongings inside the home.
When the sack was opened, several live cobras were discovered inside, shocking both the rescue workers and nearby residents.
Authorities have not yet confirmed who was responsible for throwing the snakes into the property, and investigations are ongoing.
The bizarre case has since triggered widespread discussion online, with many social media users calling the act extremely dangerous and warning that innocent people could easily have been bitten or killed.
