Durian lovers in Singapore can soon feast on unlimited premium durians as NTUC FairPrice brings back its popular durian buffet this June at selected FairPrice Xtra outlets.
The 60-minute buffet experience will take place over two weekends — from 19 to 21 June at Parkway Parade and from 26 to 28 June at VivoCity.
Tickets are priced from S$85 per person, while early bird promotions allow customers to purchase two tickets for S$150 if booked before 12 June.
Unlimited Mao Shan Wang, Black Thorn and more
According to FairPrice, diners will get unlimited servings of several popular durian varieties during the session.
The buffet lineup includes Mao Shan Wang, Black Thorn, King of King, Red Prawn, D24, and D13 durians.
Each ticket also comes with up to 300g of mangosteen and one fresh coconut.
The event will be conducted indoors in an air-conditioned environment, offering some relief from Singapore’s humid weather while guests enjoy the fruit buffet.
Hourly sessions available across both weekends
The durian buffet will operate in hourly sessions throughout both weekends.
Friday sessions are scheduled at 2pm, 3:30pm, 5pm, 6:30pm, and 8pm, while weekend sessions on Saturdays and Sundays will begin from 12:30pm onwards.
As the event is dine-in only, takeaway of durians will not be allowed.
FairPrice also stated that diners are encouraged to avoid excessive food wastage. A surcharge of S$3 per 100g will reportedly apply to uneaten durians left behind after the session.
CDC vouchers accepted for in-store bookings
Customers can reportedly use CDC vouchers for bookings made directly at customer service counters in-store.
However, CDC vouchers will not be accepted for online purchases through Eventbrite.
FairPrice also noted that children below the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult during the buffet sessions.
The annual durian buffet has become increasingly popular among Singaporeans in recent years, especially during peak durian season when premium varieties such as Mao Shan Wang and Black Thorn are in high demand and often command high market prices across Singapore.
