I (27M) just broke up with my girlfriend (26F) of three years last night, and I honestly don’t even know who I was dating this whole time.
As everyone knows, BTS ticketing happened yesterday. She is a massive Army, which I’ve always supported. I even took leave from work yesterday just to help her queue on three different devices. We had the queue going, the ticketing site open, everything. But luck wasn’t on our side—site crashed, payment errors, total bloodbath. We walked away with nothing.
I expected her to be sad, but what followed was an absolute nightmare. She completely flipped. She started screaming that I “didn’t try hard enough,” smashed her mouse against the wall, and accused me of purposely having slow Wi-Fi to ruin her life. When I tried to calm her down and suggested looking for resale tickets (even though they are ridiculously overpriced), she threw her hydro flask at my living room TV. It missed the TV but shattered my standing fan.
The entitlement and lack of emotional regulation was terrifying. This wasn’t just disappointment; it was a full-blown adult toddler meltdown. When I told her she was crossing the line, she screamed that I don’t love her and threatened to dump me.
So, I packed her stuff, called her a Grab, and told her we are done.
Now my phone is blowing up. Her friends are spamming me, calling me a “heartless Ahole” for abandoning her when she was already “grieving.” Grieving? It’s a concert, not a funeral. I’m just so done with the toxic K-pop obsession overriding basic human decency. Am I losing my mind here, or is this standard behavior now?
Stay safe out there, guys. If your partner values a boyband more than your respect and sanity, run.
What’s the diff between this kind of behavior and some sicko perv guy. Let me tell you absolutely no difference.
