Eh seriously, I cannot take it already. Every single day I am on the road trying to earn an honest living, mugging under the hot sun and pouring rain just to put food on the table, and who do I see sabotaging my rice bowl? These underage punk kids on modified Personal Mobility Devices (PMDs), flying down the footpaths and bursting through red lights at 60 km/h like they own the damn road.
Yesterday night I almost crashed into one beng kid at Woodlands. No helmet, no lights, totally blacked out, zooming out from a blind spot while blasting some trash techno music. I had to slam my brakes so hard my entire delivery order spilled. Customer complain, platform deduct points, and for what? Because some brainless kid wants to cosplay as Fast & Furious on a sidewalk.
But you know what is the worst part? It’s not even the kids. Kids are stupid, that one we all know. The real problem is the parents.
I really want to ask: what kind of parents actually give their kid cold hard cash to go and buy these death machines? You parents out there buying PMDs for your secondary school children seriously must have some kind of mental defect. Logic where? You either secretly pray your own child gets into a horrific accident, or you yourself have an inferior, single-digit IQ.
Do you even know what they do with the money? They don’t buy the LTA-approved, safety-certified ones. They take your money, go straight to some illegal Telegram black market shop, and modify the battery until the thing becomes a literal rolling fire hazard. Then they go and modified the speed limit so they can race on public paths. When LTA enforcement officers step up operations and ban more things, who suffers? The food delivery riders who actually rely on compliant devices to feed their families! Because of your terrible parenting, the authorities squeeze our rice bowls tighter and tighter.
If you cannot handle parenting, please don’t pass the burden to the rest of Singapore. If you have too much money and want to spoil your brat, buy them a Playstation or a library membership. Don’t fund a menace that threatens the lives of pedestrians and ruins the livelihood of honest workers. Total absolute disgrace.
