What was supposed to be another evening of music, drinks and dancing quickly descended into chaos when two groups of men became involved in a confrontation along Buyong Road, a popular nightlife area near Orchard Road.

By the time police arrived, several men were injured, including one who was allegedly stabbed in the neck.

Dispute Reportedly Started Inside Nightclub

According to reports, the incident unfolded at around 2:45am and involved two separate groups who had reportedly been patrons at a nearby nightclub.

Witnesses believe tensions began brewing inside the venue before eventually spilling out onto the street, where the disagreement escalated into a physical fight.

At some point during the altercation, a knife was allegedly produced.

Several eyewitnesses told local media they saw emergency vehicles rushing to the scene, with multiple ambulances arriving shortly after the violence broke out.

While nearby business owners later said they were unaware of the incident, the aftermath left a trail of injured individuals requiring medical attention.

Five People Taken To Hospital

Police said they received a call for assistance at approximately 2:55am.

Upon arriving at Buyong Road, officers found four men, all aged 38, suffering from injuries.

Three of the men had sustained cuts and lacerations, while another was found with minor injuries.

All four were conscious when conveyed to hospital.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force confirmed that a total of five people were transported to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, including a 27-year-old man who was later arrested in connection with the incident.

Two Men Arrested, Knife Seized

Following preliminary investigations, police arrested two men aged 25 and 27 on suspicion of voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous means.

Officers also seized a knife believed to have been used during the confrontation.

Investigations remain ongoing.

The incident serves as another reminder of how quickly tempers can flare after a night of drinking, transforming what should have been a routine night out into a police investigation involving multiple injuries and a suspected weapon attack.

Fortunately, despite the severity of the allegations, all injured parties were reported to be conscious when taken to hospital.

As investigations continue, authorities are expected to determine the exact sequence of events that led to the violent confrontation in one of Singapore’s busiest entertainment districts.
