A Malaysian man has touched thousands online after fulfilling his promise to marry his fiancée, even after her sudden passing just months before their planned wedding.
The couple had been preparing to tie the knot in November 2026, but tragedy struck when the bride-to-be, a social media influencer and livestreamer known online as “SaKira Saw”, passed away unexpectedly on June 23.
Instead of cancelling their wedding plans entirely, her grieving fiancé, John, chose to honour their commitment through a traditional ghost wedding ceremony held on the final day of her funeral.
The emotional event took place in Penang and was attended by family members, friends and loved ones who gathered to witness a union that fate had cruelly interrupted.
