Woman Involved In People’s Park Complex Massage Parlour Dispute Arrested After Alleged Second Altercation
A woman who was previously involved in a highly publicised dispute at a massage parlour in People’s Park Complex was reportedly arrested after allegedly getting into another confrontation at the same shopping complex.
The latest incident is said to have taken place on the evening of Jul. 15 at a massage establishment located on the second floor of the Chinatown mall.
According to reports, the woman had earlier attracted attention after claiming she became pregnant following a relationship with a male masseur. She had also alleged that she later suffered a miscarriage, leading to a dispute that resulted in a separate altercation at the complex.
Second Fight Reported At Massage Parlour
Witnesses told Chinese-language daily Shin Min Daily News that the latest incident unfolded at around 7pm.
A woman dressed in black and sporting short hair was reportedly involved in a heated argument with a female masseuse wearing a pink dress. The disagreement allegedly escalated when the woman slapped the masseuse before both became involved in a physical struggle.
Photographs from the scene showed the masseuse pinned to the ground while the other woman appeared to be on top of her during the scuffle.
Witnesses claimed the masseuse shouted for assistance during the altercation. However, bystanders reportedly chose not to intervene due to concerns over the intensity of the fight.
Reports indicated that the woman involved was believed to be the same individual who had previously made allegations involving a male massage therapist at the complex.
Dispute Allegedly Started Over Noise Complaint
According to Shin Min, the confrontation may have begun when the masseuse was attempting to attract customers outside the shop.
The woman allegedly asked the masseuse to keep quiet, resulting in a verbal disagreement that later escalated into a physical confrontation.
When reporters visited the area the following day, nearby business operators said the woman had previously frequented a massage parlour on the third floor before recently spending time around the second-floor establishment where the incident occurred.
The massage parlour linked to the masseuse involved in the altercation was reportedly closed when reporters visited on Jul. 16.
Police Called To Scene
Following the fight, police officers were alerted and attended the scene at People’s Park Complex.
The Singapore Police Force confirmed that officers received a call for assistance at 1 Park Road at approximately 7:25pm on Jul. 15.
A 53-year-old woman was taken to hospital, while a 40-year-old woman was arrested for public nuisance.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) also confirmed receiving a call for assistance at around 7:35pm. The injured woman was conveyed conscious to Singapore General Hospital for medical treatment.
When contacted by reporters after the incident, the woman who was allegedly involved in the confrontation said she was in hospital and declined to comment further.
Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
