Residents in a neighbourhood in Klang were left stunned after spotting a naked man walking and behaving erratically on the roof of a double-storey house.
The unusual incident occurred at around 7am on July 20 in Taman Andalas Jaya, where the man’s actions quickly attracted attention from nearby residents. Videos of the incident were later widely shared on social media, sparking discussions online.
The man, believed to be in his 30s, was seen completely unclothed as he moved across the rooftop. At times, he reportedly lay flat on the roof and made unusual movements, leaving onlookers concerned for both his safety and that of others.
Firefighters Safely Bring Man Down
Emergency responders were called to the scene, with firefighters managing to safely bring the man down from the roof without any reported injuries.
He was subsequently handed over to police for further investigations.
South Klang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Cha Hoong Fong said preliminary investigations found that the individual is a 37-year-old foreign national who did not possess any valid identification or travel documents.
Police have since launched investigations under Section 427 of the Penal Code for committing mischief, Section 377D of the Penal Code relating to acts of gross indecency, as well as Section 6(1)(c) of Malaysia’s Immigration Act 1959/63 for allegedly entering or remaining in the country without valid travel documents.
Police Urge Public Not to Share Videos
Authorities have appealed to members of the public to stop circulating videos of the incident on social media.
Police said further sharing of the footage could unnecessarily alarm residents living in the area while investigations are ongoing.
The motive behind the man’s behaviour has not been disclosed, and it remains unclear what led him to climb onto the rooftop while unclothed.
The case has attracted significant attention online due to the bizarre nature of the incident, with many social media users expressing concern over the man’s condition while others questioned how he managed to access the rooftop before emergency services arrived.
