Sibei song, every Monday MC but IG story at Tanjong Beach Club. How to deal?

We have this one junior colleague—let’s call him Jay. Jay has this super consistent “pattern.” Every single Monday without fail, he will throw MC. At first, we gave him the benefit of the doubt, think maybe immune system weak or weekend food poisoning. But now it’s literally every week. Monday comes, 8:30 AM drop message in team WhatsApp: “Guys sorry, feeling unwell today, going to doctor.” Then MIA whole day.

The best part? Last night (Sunday), I was scrolling Instagram, and I see his story. Bro was at some Sentosa beach club, holding a cocktail, living his best life under the sun. Then today, Monday morning… ping! “Guys, doctor gave me 2 days MC.”

Bro, you not sick, you just hungover or lazy to face reality!

Because of his vanishing act, the rest of us have to absorb his workload and cover his client calls last minute. Boss also super oblivious, just says “Oh, hope he gets well soon!” like a clueless angel. Meanwhile, the rest of us are drowning in work while Mr. Beach Club is probably lying at home enjoying his AC and netflixing.

I don’t want to be the office snitch and go report his IG to HR or boss (don’t want to create unnecessary drama or look toxic), but at the same time, my blood is boiling. We are all tired, but we still show up. Why must the rest of us tank his responsibilities just because he wants a 3-day weekend every week?

Is it normal for HR to not track such obvious Monday MC patterns? Should I just take screenshot and accidentally let boss see, or just launch a passive-aggressive remark in the WhatsApp group next time?

Any tips on how to handle this kind of colleague without looking like a snake? Or should I also just start taking MC every Monday to join him? Sibei frustrating sia.
