I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY MY HUSBAND GO JB ALWAYS 5 HOURS+, i tried to do the maths… Something not right

My husband goes JB to run simple errands almost every other weekend. Usually on off-peak hours like weekday nights or super early Sunday morning. Every time he leaves, he will say: “Wife, going in quick quick, buy some groceries, pump full tank Petrol, buy a box of Cake, then come back immediately.”

Okay fine, sound very innocent right? So I sit down and do proper breakdown math:

  • Customs clearance + Bridge: Off-peak time, border clearance max 20 to 30 mins each way. Round trip = 1 Hour.
  • Pumping petrol: At Shell or Petron near Tuas/Causeway, wait in line + pump petrol = 20 Minutes.
  • Grocery run: Go KSL or Mid Valley Lotus’s, sweep items, self-checkout = 1 Hour.
  • Buying cake / quick snack: Go Hiap Joo or roadside stall = 30 Minutes.

Total time max max, calculate until give chance, also 2 Hours 50 Minutes, let’s give generous padding call it 4 Hours!

THEN WHY EVERY SINGLE TIME HE DISAPPEARS FOR 5 TO 6 HOURS ONE?! 😤

Where does the missing 1 to 2 hours go? Every time I text him, he always say “Jamming at checkpoint lah babi” or “Queueing for parking”. But I check the Beat the Jam app, the camera green green clear like water!

I started asking my girlfriends and two of them immediately whispered: “Eh babe… you know JB got a lot of THOSE kind of massage parlors right? The ones with happy ending…” Now I cannot unsee it. Every time he comes home smelling extra fresh or wearing a fresh T-shirt saying “weather too hot changed shirt”, my heart start jumping!

Is it really just slow traffic and slow cashier, or am I being naive?! Guys who go JB often, please tell me truthfully: what on earth do men actually do in JB for 5+ hours when there’s no jam?! 🧐👇
