Today I want to share the story of a ex-friend of mine, let’s call him Ah Hai. This guy is the living definition of how a man can completely destroy his own life through sheer stupidity, lust, and greed.
Ah Hai never held a single decent job in his entire life. His main “income” source was collecting private illegal 4D and Toto as a bookie. As you all know with illegal gambling, money easy come, easy go. Instead of planning for the future, he spent every single cent like there was no tomorrow.
He actually had a proper family—a wife and a young daughter waiting for him at home. But instead of being a responsible father, he was out every single night hanging out with his so-called “brothers” at those dirty Siam diu and KTV lounges, drinking till morning and burning cash on hostesses. Unsurprisingly, his wife couldn’t take it anymore and filed for divorce. The court awarded her 70% share of their HDB flat. Serves him right. Ah Hai became literally homeless for nearly 2 years, sleeping on friends’ couches and staying at his siblings or parent rented flat, until he barely scraped together enough cash to buy a small 2-room resale flat.
You think he learned his lesson after losing his family and house? NOPE.
The moment he got his flat settled, he went straight back to his old habits. Day in, day out, he was flying to Thailand. Minimum $10k per trip just to find chickens—and not just one, but multiple chickens every single day. He spent months over there partying non-stop like he was some billionaire playboy.
Until one day, he started feeling an unbearable itch down there.
He came back to Singapore and went to see a doctor. The medical report was like a buffet menu of sexual diseases. Doctor told him he caught 4 different kinds of STDs all at once. Some needed strong antibiotics, some needed daily topical creams, and some required liquid nitrogen treatment to literally burn off the growths on his private area. Worst of all? One of the STDs is completely incurable and stays with him for life. Absolute biological hazard.
His addiction to women and lust completely killed his integrity. He is such a huge ji hong (horny dog) that just to get close to a friend’s cousin, he went to divulge confidential private information that he was never supposed to tell anyone, just to impress her. Zero loyalty, zero ethics.
On top of that, his hobby was gambling in Syed Alwi area pubs. He and his gang gamble like they got no brain—literally displaying stacks of cash openly on the pub tables like it’s a movie scene. Hearsay recently the police actually came down specifically looking for him. Now he scared already, suddenly trying to lay low and stop his illegal 4D/Toto bookie business.
I completely cut off all contact with him already. I don’t want his biological diseases near me, nor do I want to deal with his toxic, self-deprecating loser energy anymore.
If you have friends like Ah Hai who refuse to wake up and keep dragging themselves into the gutter, just cut them off. Life is too short to surround yourself with walking disasters.
