Police said the incident happened at around 1.13am when a 35-year-old local man allegedly accelerated his car into the dining area of the food centre. The vehicle reportedly struck a metal structure before turning around and heading towards the exit.
The woman had reportedly been preparing to leave the premises when she noticed the car reversing into another vehicle. She got out of her car and, together with others, moved towards the scene to check what had happened.
Woman Tried To Stop Car From Leaving
According to Kajang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Nazron Abdul Yusof, the woman appeared to have moved towards the vehicle in an attempt to prevent the driver from leaving.
However, the situation turned fatal when the car struck a metal structure. The structure was knocked down and hit the woman, causing severe injuries to her head.
She was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the woman suffered serious head injuries as a result of the impact.
Driver Arrested After Crash

Initial checks reportedly found that the man had no previous criminal record. Authorities have also obtained samples from him for further analysis as part of the investigation.
Police have not confirmed whether alcohol was a factor in the crash. Tests are expected to help determine whether the driver was under the influence at the time of the incident.
Police Investigating Dangerous Driving
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of Malaysia’s Road Transport Act 1987, which covers dangerous and reckless driving resulting in death.
Closed-circuit television footage from the food centre has also circulated online, appearing to show the sequence of events. The footage reportedly shows the woman leaving the premises and getting into her car before noticing the collision involving the suspect’s vehicle.
