Amos Yee Says He Has “A Few More Months Of Freedom” After Being Released On Bail
Amos Yee has said he expects to remain out of prison for several more months after being released on bail following his latest court appearance.
In a video recorded shortly after leaving court, the Singapore-born figure said he had initially expected to begin serving his existing prison sentence on 7 September. However, he explained that newly filed charges could extend the court proceedings until the end of the year.
Yee appeared to treat the situation with a mixture of relief and dark humour, saying he had “lived to survive another day” after securing bail. He also suggested that the additional court proceedings meant he could remain outside prison for longer than originally expected.
