A 71-year-old man was found dead at the foot of a residential block in Punggol on the afternoon of Sep. 7, 2026.
The incident happened at Block 126B Edgedale Plains at around 4.05pm, according to the Singapore Police Force.
Police officers were called to the scene after the man was found lying motionless at the foot of the block.
Man Pronounced Dead At Scene
Preliminary investigations indicated that the man had fallen from a height.
A Singapore Civil Defence Force paramedic subsequently pronounced him dead at the scene.
Police said that based on their preliminary investigations, there was no indication of foul play.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
A reader-submitted video showed a blue tent set up at the foot of the block, with part of it extending onto the road.
Several police officers could also be seen at the location.
Police Investigations Ongoing
Blood stains were reportedly visible on the pavement after midnight, several hours after the incident.
The circumstances surrounding the man’s fall have not been disclosed by the authorities.
As investigations continue, police have not indicated whether the incident was accidental or linked to other circumstances.
