The woman was detained on Nov 3 at around 5.40pm in Bandar Sri Damansara. Malaysian police said preliminary investigations indicated that she had admitted to being involved in the incident.

The arrest followed a viral video showing a heated confrontation between the woman and the father of two children at the shopping centre.

According to reports, the woman allegedly pushed the man’s seven-year-old son before striking his two-year-old daughter on the head.

Police Received Reports Of Multiple Disturbances

Dang Wangi police chief Assistant Commissioner Ahmad Azwan Amin Nordin said the authorities had received a report concerning the incidents on Sunday.

The initial report was lodged by a security guard working at the shopping mall at approximately 8pm. Police were informed of three separate incidents involving alleged disturbances at the premises.

One of the complaints concerned the alleged assault involving the two children and their father.

The circumstances surrounding the other reported incidents have not been fully detailed in the available reports.

Woman Faces Police Investigation

Following her arrest, the woman was taken into custody as investigations continued.

Police are investigating the case under Section 323 of the Malaysian Penal Code, which concerns voluntarily causing hurt, and Section 506, which covers criminal intimidation.

Both allegations remain under investigation, and the authorities have not provided further details about the suspect’s alleged involvement in the other incidents.

The case has attracted attention online following the circulation of footage showing the confrontation between the woman and the children’s father.

The incident has also prompted discussions about public safety, particularly when young children are involved in confrontations at crowded shopping centres.

Further details may emerge as Malaysian police continue their investigations.
