Love works in mysterious ways. Sometimes, after decades of searching, you finally meet your soulmate. And sometimes, that soulmate just happens to be 25 years older, a former Samsung Electronics president, and one of the most influential figures in the technology industry.

Former South Korean supermodel and businesswoman Kim Ja Yeon, 45, has announced that she has married Son Yeong Gwon, 70, a prominent business executive who previously served as president of Samsung Electronics.
Son currently holds senior positions as an adviser to Samsung Electronics and chairman of Harman International.
While some people spend years searching for someone who shares their hobbies, humour and favourite food, Kim apparently found someone who shares her educational background — along with a rather impressive corporate résumé.

Kim announced her marriage on social media, surprising followers who had previously believed she intended to remain single.
She explained that she had long imagined spending her life alone, without ever walking down the aisle.
However, fate apparently had other plans.
And fate, in this particular case, came with decades of corporate experience and a very impressive LinkedIn profile.
According to Korean media reports, the couple first crossed paths approximately two years ago through their shared connections as graduates of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Their relationship gradually developed, and they reportedly expressed their romantic feelings earlier this year.
Kim described how they travelled together across the United States, South Korea and Europe, taking time to understand each other’s lives and perspectives.
Eventually, the two realised they wanted to spend their futures together.
A beautiful reminder that love knows no boundaries — including age gaps, corporate titles and possibly the number of zeros in someone’s bank account.
A Romantic Wedding In Switzerland
The couple exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony at the luxurious Bürgenstock Resort overlooking Lake Lucerne in Switzerland.
Rather than organising a massive celebrity wedding, they reportedly chose a private celebration attended only by family members.
Kim subsequently shared photographs of the occasion and thanked supporters for their congratulatory messages.
Their marriage has attracted attention partly because of their 25-year age difference and Son’s prominent position in the global technology industry.
Of course, there is no evidence that wealth or status played any role in their relationship.
Perhaps it really is just two MIT-connected individuals discovering that they were meant for each other.
