If not, why are there still squatting toilets being built in some places? I don’t see the benefit in it since it’s bad for the knee and quite uncomfortable. I doubt anyone uses it unless they’re really desperate
Edit: just did some research, apparently squatting is good for your bowels instead of the toilet seats and there are many people using squatting too. It comes out as a surprise to me because I didn’t know people would use squats. Thanks for commenting, I learnt a lot and I hopes it helps others too
Yes, people still use squatting toilets in Singapore. Given a choice between a squatting and a sitting toilet I will go for the squatting toilet every time, because I don’t like my bare backside to be on a seat that has been touched by goodness knows how many other people’s bare backsides.
