According to the media release, a 37-year-old Bangladeshi worker died after suffering from injuries at a construction site located at 339 Anchor Vale Road this morning (9 am).

The victim was a trap between metal barricades and the counterweight of a crawler crane. It is believed that the man was injured and later past away from his injuries when the crane rotated.

Example of force (not actual crane of the accident)

A typical crawler crane can lift 19.8 tonnes of weight, meaning the counterweight to make sure the crane to counter the lifting weight to avoid toppling would be heavier. At least 20 tonnes or 20,000 kg.

Media reports did not indicate what kind of metal barricade was erected behind the crawler crane. The following is an example for your imagination.
