PRC MAN TRIED TO BRIBE CERTIS CISCO OFFICER WITH $100, JAILED

28-year-old Li Ying, a PRC man was found to have illegally sublet a two-storey house to 21 workers and bribe an officer from Certis Cisco.

For a period of 3 months, Li earned at least $15,000 from the tenants. But he was fined $50,620 for the illegal “dormitory”.

Li was also found to be working in Singapore with a work pass resulting in a $6000 fine.

Auxiliary officers conducted an inspection at the house located in MacPherson and found that the house has been partitioned to rent out to foreign workers. The officer found 15 foreign workers staying in the unit.

Li knew that he would be in trouble and attempted to bribe an officer $100.

Unfortunately, instead of just paying the fine he was also sentenced to four weeks jail for attempting to bribe an officer.
