A recruit was found by the Police Coast Guard after swimming towards Singapore from Tekong.
The 18 years old recruit tried to swim back to Singapore from Pulau Tekong at night to escape National Service. It is confirmed that disciplinary action have been taken against the recruit.
The recruit could have been punished with a jail term of up to two years in Detention Barracks (DB) for the offence of AWOL.
Please do not try this during BMT!
