
Seven suspects were arrested after raids were conducted by the authorities on illegal medicine products that are worth around S$80,000.
The raids were conducted in Geylang, Golden Mile and Chinatown.
One of the locations is in an office unit located at Golden Mile Complex, the office is suspected to be an illegal cough syrup factory and warehouse

The two other locations are at a coffee shop located in Geylang Lorong 12 and a clinic at People’s Park Complex in Chinatown.
According to CNB, a doctor believed to be from the clinic is helping with the investigations under CNB and HSA.
The total amount of illegal drugs seized is
- More than 125,000ml of codeine cough syrup
- 63,000 units of assorted medicines sleeping pills
CNB has been watching the operation for over six months and has been tracking the movements of the suspects and the illegal operation.
It is believed that the cough syrup is primarily sold by street vendors in Geylang.
Anyone caught importing, manufacturing, or supplying illegal health products can be imprisoned for up to two years, fined up to $50,000, or both.
The punishment for trafficking a Class B controlled drug is a minimum of three years’ jail and three strokes of the cane.
