A preschool child enrolled in The Orange Tree preschool centre (Choa Chu Kang) has tested positive for COVID-19. The child last attended preschool on Friday, 6 March. His family member, Case 145, tested positive yesterday. We wish both of them a speedy recovery.

As a precautionary measure, the preschool will close tomorrow until 20 March, to complete the 14-day incubation period from when the child was last in preschool. The preschool will thoroughly clean and disinfect its premises, and all children and staff have been placed on Leave of Absence. ECDA is closely monitoring the situation and is working with the preschool management, staff and parents.

We apologize for the concern and inconvenience that this preschool closure will cause to parents. We seek your patience and understanding to adhere to the requirements of the Leave of Absence, while monitoring your children’s health and well-being. Keeping our preschool community safe is a collective effort and we thank everyone for your support during this period.
