32 YEAR OLD ARRESTED AFTER BREAKING INTO UNIT AT BUKIT BATOK

According to the Police media release, The Police arrested a 32-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of housebreaking.

The resident of the unit reported the incident to the Police on the 18 March 2020 at around 10.45 pm, the police were alerted to a case of housebreaking located along Bukit Batok Street 31.

Following was stolen

  • Cash amounting to S$280
  • VND$500, 000 (About S$31)
  • jewelleries

Officers from Jurong Police Division was able to identify the suspect through Police CCTV and ground enquiries. The officers arrested the man the next day (19 March 2020).

The man will be charged with housebreaking under Section 451 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224.

The offence carries an imprisonment term which may extend to 10 years and a fine.
