OFFICERS ENFORCING SAFETY DISTANCING IN PUBLIC TRANSPORT

It will soon be compulsory to wear a mask on public transport.

Officers were seen deployed on MRT throughout MRT cabins to ensure safety distancing.

With circuit breakers measures in place, trains, the bus should not be crowded.

Yesterday, Minister for Transport Khaw Boon Wan posted on Facebook that

“I think a practical compromise is for all commuters to wear masks when they use public transport. We will make mask-wearing compulsory for public transport.

“This will minimise transmission in public transport during (the post ‘circuit breaker’) period when safe distancing is compromised.”
