MORE THAN 500 FINED AND 6200 WARNINGS ISSUED FOR FLOUTING SAFE DISTANCING

According to the media release from gov.sg that was sent earlier today, more than 6200 individuals have received warnings for flouting the safety distancing measures.

On the 12th of April, no one shall receive warnings but a fined instead.

Its has only been 2 days since the implementation of the fine and so far over 500 individuals have received the fine.

  • Over 500 fined
  • 1st offence: Fine up to $300
  • 2nd offence: Fine up to $1000; could face prosecution
  • Strict enforcement will continue
