On the 9 of April 2020, 39-year-old Steven Seow Tze Wang was sentenced to jail for two charges of molestation.
The incident happened back on the 28 of July 2019,
Steven picked up a 30-year-old female and her male friend at Orchard, the duo was going home after a night out at a club. The male passenger dropped off first, and later on, in the journey, the female passenger told Steven that she needed to use the toilet.
Steven then drove his taxi to Blk 103 Aljunied Crescent where she alighted to use the toilet at a nearby Mcdonalds.
They continued the journey after the return and she fell dizzy from the alcohol she had earlier and closed her eyes.
The Taxi Drivers suddenly started to massage her neck, the victim immediately brushes his hand aside. But Steven did not stop here, he then tried to tickle her ears with his fingers.
Steven then told the passenger to look at him, he then tried to put his tongue into her mouth. But was quickly pushed away by the victim.
They continued the journey to her destination and the victim contacted a friend for help after she reached home.
She lodged a report with the Police later that day and Steven was arrested.
