Earlier this month, Madam Koh was bitten by a dog and went to Choa Chu Kang polyclinic for a tetanus jab but was given typhoid jab instead.

One nurse had taken the vaccine to Madam Koh and another had given the jab. Both the nurses did not checked that it was the correct one. The polyclinic took 1 day to count the vaccines and confirmed the error.

The next day the polyclinic told her about the error. The polyclinic checked on her and confirmed that she had not suffered any side effects from the typhoid jab.

Madam Koh did not subsequently get a tetanus jab, she asked for a refund but she only received a refund this week of $25 for the injection, but not the $12.60 consultation fee.
