MAN INVOLVED IN CCK CEMETERY ASSAULT INTEND TO LEAVE SG BY BOAT

According to the media release, 29-year-old, Andre Chen Si’en who was involved in the Chua Chu Kang Cemetery assault on the 10 May 2020 had intended to flee the country on a boat.

On the 12 May 2020, he was charged in court along with 24-year-old, Gervan Wong Jun Heng for their involvement on the assault of Douglas Wong Wei Hao. They had caused the victim serious injuries which include a deformed arm, puncture wounds on the victim’s legs and another wound on his head.

Andre was not allowed to be out on bail as it was believed that he might attempt to run away.

The investigation is ongoing.

According to the law, anyone who is convicted of voluntarily causing hurt with weapons will face a lifetime jail term or 15 years in jail with a fine or caning.
