STUDENTS FROM 5 SCHOOLS TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID-19

According to a media release, 4 students and 1 non-teaching staff has been tested positive for COVID-19. All 5 patients were reported having mild symptoms, they are from different schools.

Student and Staff tested positive for COVID-19 are from:

  1. Anglic Anglican High School
  2. CHIJ Katong Convent
  3. CHIJ St Theresa’s Convent
  4. Geylang Methodist Secondary School
  5. Hwa Chong Institution

The 5 patients were reported to have infected by the COVID-19 during circuit breaker.

29 staff members and 100 students on LOA/quarantine order

All 4 students that were tested positive reported to school last week when school re-open. A total of 129 staff member and students have been issued with 14 days Leave of Absence or home quarantine order.

They will have to go through COVID-19 Swab tests before and after their quarantine. The Ministry of Education urges parents to monitor the health of the student closely. They were reminded to seek medical treatment if they develop symptoms such as sore throat, cough, flu, fever and loss of taste.
