Singapore has finally went into first phase of reopening. And we are currently approaching phase 2. But if citizens are not disciplined, the nation might undergo a second circuit breaker if Covid-19 cases increases.
Minister for National Development Lawrence Wong said on Tuesday (9 June) that Singaporeans would have to live with Covid-19 on the long run as the virus is not likely to “go away” anytime soon.
The estimated time that the nation could enter phase 2 would be before the end of the month. And that would only be possible if the situation remains under control. Travel restrictions might also be eased further, allowing Singapore to extend ‘green lanes’ with more countries.
All citizens would have to be extra meticulous and cooperate with the various Covid-19 guidelines to ensure that every Singaporean is safe.
