According to a media release, a Malay mother and son has been investigated by the police for their suspected involvement in making racist remarks via an Instagram live session.

The police were alerted after multiple reports were filed by netizens on the 03 Jun 2020. Apparently the video was made as in response to viewers comments in regards to another racist video the son posted 4 years ago.
In the video, the mother defended her son by saying that he did nothing wrong in making the video as it is just a “figure of speech”.
The man challenged netizens:
“I said the word n****. What the f*** are you going to do about it? Call the police? Call lah.”
Investigation is ongoing.
According to the law, anyone convicted for deliberate intent to wound racial feelings will face a jail term up to 3 years or fine or both.
