As Singapore enters the phase 1 of reopening, many businesses are allowed to resume their operations. However, this does not include employees going back to work in the office. Employees will still to be expected to work from home as much as possible.
According to the Ministry of Manpower, working from home should still be the default mode for employees during phase 1 and 2 of the reopening. Employees should not go back to the office unless necessary.
The Ministry of Manpower will be conducting spot checks to ensure that the employers are complying to the guidelines provided. Any companies that are found violating the guideline will be shut down again.
All social activities are prohibited between colleagues inside or outside the office. Employees who has gone back to office should not gather for lunch. They should take their break and meals separately.
Everyone should do their part to ensure that Singapore are able to reopen fully as soon as possible.
