A netizen, Ashleigh Ng, has shared his experience with eating at Siam Square Mookata, after his dad got scalded when the table toppled that caused him serious injuries which need medical attention.

Incident happen on 19 June 2020 11.30pm at SIAM SQUARE MOOKATA GOLDEN MILE OUTLET first day of phase 2 and a disaster happened. We were actually celebrating early for father’s day as he decided to go for his heart procedure next week. We never ever think that this will happen, the table that we dine on toppled all over onto my father’s body, my mum leg, food on the table and the wok splash which scalded my father both hands, and also all our damage all our belongings which includes our mobile phone on the table was damage. We realized the table leg base was supported with some paper cups after the incident when the staff comes to take it off quickly after. Inconsideration it is very inappropriate for f&b store especially when you are selling something that is boiling hot to still continue and use such furniture. When the table toppled over i saw the supervisor coming over to apologize but what comes behind really makes my family upset is that he went back to the groups of friend and continue his drinking. They did not show any concerns of care or even ask my father how is his hand, no first aid or help is perfom to ease his injury even they know he got burned by their boiling hot mookata !! When we went to the cashier the staff assumed that we wanted to make payment and handed us a 15% off bill but we asked him if that is your boss drinking over there ? He answered yes and nodded his head we told him we want to speak to your boss .He ran over to the table , the in-charge came over we explain and demonstrated the table that they are using is unsafe for customers to dine on and he said “Why not we offer you 50% off “??!!!
OMG PLEASE NOW THE ISSUE IS NOT HOW MUCH YOU WANT TO DEDUCT OFF OUR BILL IS A FREAKING FLESH !! HE’S STILL IN GREAT PAIN NOW!! My father is working as a grabfood he still have to work the next day , he is so worried that he don’t even dare to go hospital and can’t work to support our family expenses . WHAT THE STAFF ASKED US TO DO IS IF WE HAVE ANY ISSUE TO CONTACT YOUR PAGE OR NUMBER. WE WOULD LIKE TO HEAR FROM SIAM SQUARE MOOKATA.
