A video of PSP team removing their election poster featuring the Chief of PSP is circulating on the social media. This happened after PSP West Coast received an order by the West Coast Town Council.
In a Facebook post posted by PSP West Coast, they said that the PSP team has been ordered to that down 50 of their campaign posters by the West Coast Town Council. They were puzzled by the situation as PAP’s posters were left untouched.
The team are still clarifying the situation with the relevant department and will provide an update once they have the full facts. They also thank their supporters for their encouragement and they will continue to fight for the people regardless of what happened.
In the post:
“The PSP team was just ordered to take down 50 PSP campaign posters by ELD, after a complaint by West Coast Town Council. Hours of hard work went down the drain. It was puzzling because the PAP posters were left untouched.
We appreciate the support and concern of passers-by who said they would post photos and videos of the incident online. Thank you for your words of encouragement! It has helped to lift our spirits.
We hope to clarify the situation and update again. No matter the obstacles, PSP will fight on for you.(edited to clarify that the takedown order was from ELD after West Coast Town Council made a complaint.)
UPDATE at 2 Jul 1117pm: We are still checking the situation at this very moment. Please keep the conversation civil, we will update again once we have the full facts.
UPDATE at 3 Jul 0814am: We are in touch with ELD and will provide a time line of events shortly.
UPDATE at 3 Jul 1125am: Dr Tan Cheng Bock has posted a short video response to this incident at Instagram”
