WP WON HIGHER PERCENTAGES IN VOTES AGAINST PAP IN CONTESTED CONSTITUENCIES

WP had contested in 2 SMCs and 4 GRCs.

553,118 valid votes were cast in total and 279,245 went to the WP.

That adds up to a total of 50.49% of total votes in the six constituencies when they pitted themselves against the People’s Action Party (PAP) during this elections.

Though the results are such basing on the the percentage between contested constituencies, the supermajority still belongs to the the ruling party PAP.

There are a total of 31 constituencies and 93 seats in Parliament, of which 10 seats have gone to the WP during this GE.
