The National Library Board has removed the picture book titled Who Wins? by Wu Xing Hua following a review after a library patron lodged a complaint that the book is racist.

The book features a dark-skinned boy with “oily curly hair” named Mao Mao, who is depicted as a bully.
The NLB added that they are reviewing the book in consultation with their Library Consultative Panel, and that during the period of review, all copies of the book will be removed from their shelves.
