The sun is blazing and your having a flat tyre, numerous individuals walk by and your like a shadow away from the eyes that have passed you…
How could a driver not even know how to change a flat tyre and be in a state of dispair when the vehicle is your steed especially when your a taxi driver some may ask.
Well, to be honest, many know a tinkle about changing a flat tyre, even some ‘racers’ that have ‘combated’ the streets with their fully modified cars know only a few cents worth about doing that.
Facebook user William Lee was lucky enough to have ended his ordeal in the hot sweltering sun when a samaritan had came by to assist him and all he had to do was to stand side and holding the umbrella for him.
Below is his full post:
“This Malaysian guy saw that I am struggling under the hot 12 o’clock sun and making very slow progress with where to put the Jack at the correct place in order to jack up the taxi. Finally he cannot stand it and tells me he will show me the correct way to change the tyres. That’s it! From start to finish he never give me a chance to do anything except to hold the umbrella for him. He wasn’t even sweating when he finished the job.
Before he came along, so many other people walked past me and nobody lent a hand. I was sweating like nobody business after setting up the spare tyre with the red triangle some distance away from the taxi and trying to jack the car.
I gave him Goh Chap Khaw but he hesitated to accept. I told him I have a back pain, my knees also hurt, I will die from sunburn, moreover in SG this money won’t pay for the medical bills if I further injured myself. Only then he thanked me and agreed to take the money. I could see he was close to tears as he turn to quickly walk away thinking I didn’t notice. Perhaps his family needs help and the Creator answers our prayers and needs according to His perfect timing.“
