In a Facebook post by Golden Village Mr Popcorn on July 23, a cinemagoer who visited Golden Village (GV) VivoCity on July 15 has tested positive for Covid-19.
The movie hall in question is Hall 4, where the patron was in, sometime in the late afternoon.
The Ministry of Health (MOH) first brought to light the matter on July 23, and the management of GV immediately cancelled all upcoming shows in the affected hall, before engaging an NEA-listed cleaning and disinfecting agency to thoroughly sanitize the hall as well as the general access areas.
The post also stated: “Your well-being is our priority. Since our reopening in phase 2, we have not only implemented measures mandated by local authorities but have also introduced several measures of our own such as frequent cleaning and disinfecting of all high touch-point areas throughout the day in all our premises.”
They added: “Hall 4 is good as new, along with all common areas like the lobby, the box office, automated ticket machines and toilets. Prior to opening today, we will also be carrying out our daily comprehensive cleaning protocol and topping up of hand sanitizers at various touch points in the cinema.”
