A 37-year-old man was arrested after robbing a taxi driver of $80 along Woodlands Drive 75. The incident happened on Saturday (25th July) at around 7am.

It was stated that a total of $80 was taken from the taxi. The suspect was arrested in four hours after being caught on CCTV cameras in the vicinity. He will also be charged a various drug-related offences as well.
The man will be charged in court on Monday with robbery. If found guilty, he faces between three and 14 years in jail, with a minimum of 12 strokes of the cane.
