Influencer and former actress Joanna Theng has apologised for a comment she said in a Christian video stating that “gay people were the agent of Satan”.

She had received criticism from netizens after appearing in a video posted by Christian group City Revival on the 22 Jul 2020. In the video, together with the City Revival director Jaime Wong both said that “Gay movement was a result of Satan’s influence to insult and show contempt for God.”
On the 25 Jul 2020, both parties had posted an apology on their Instagram before taking down the video. Joanna has deactivated her Instagram account and privatised her Tik Tok account.
However, she was once again criticised by netizen saying that her apology is not Sincere at all.
