
It was previously reported on July 24 that there was an emergent Covid-19 cluster with four cases at the Bukit Panjang Integrated Transport Hub – It started when a 28-year old Malaysian had apparently experienced symptoms on July 1 and still went to work.

In a statement to Mothership, SMRT has since confirmed that the four said cases were bus drivers who operated bus serviced 976, 184 and 176.
SMRT revealed that three of the drivers contracted the coronavirus in their households.
Employees who have had close contact with the four infected drivers have since been placed on a leave of absence, SMRT is also monitoring the drivers’ conditions and offered help.
