
A 36-year-old migrant worker allegedly slit his own throat on Sunday (August 2) at a Sungei Kadut dormitory and was seen lying in a pool of blood at the staircase landing of the dormitory.
The Singapore Police Force (SPF) said that they apprehended the man under the Mental Health (care and treatment) Act, after they were alerted to the incident at around 7.30am, he was attended to quickly.
The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) said that they were aware of the incident and the dormitory operator as well as the Fast Team (Forward Assurance and Support Team) on site treated his injuries and he is now safe and stable.
