A Facebook user shared his unpleasant experience of getting into an accident with another road user.
According to his post, he was hit by a car from the back and he decided not to claim from the other party after learning that the boy just completed his national service. However, the boy said that he will settle it.
The following day his dad contacted the man and requested to see the condition of the car. When they met up the boy’s dad brought a polishing solution with him and attempted to remove the scratches that were caused by the accident.
Instead of resolving the problem, the boy’s dad made it worse as the polishing solution has caused damage to the car paint. The boy dad then requested an additional day for him to find a workshop for the repair. However, it did not happen instead the man received a call from the boy’s dad to ask him to proceed with the claim.
According to the victim, the father and son are just buying time trying to avoid insurance claim. As accident has to be reported with 2 days in order to proceed with the claim.

He mentions he will settle it.
2nd day, his dad say want to see my car and ended come prepare with a polishing solution. And say he wanna try polishing and ended up causing the paint to blur now.
His dad asks if I can accept $100 and move on. How can I accept $100 with those scratches which he can’t remove with his solution?
He mentions give him another day to find a shop for me to bring in as the shop he knows is full. Today called me and the tone changed. Asked me to proceed to claim. They are basically buying time knowing that we have to report it in 2 days. If not we are not able to claim.
Lesson learn!! No more be a kind-hearted person.. Whoever hit on me next time.. I will make sure you pay for it and confirm claim insurance. No more negotiating next time.
There is definitely kind-hearted people around in the society but thanks to this kind of people, we have to change and no longer be kind.
As for this father and son…you will pay for it… If my claim is not successful you will pay for it in some way… Please take down your honour and glory photo. SAF teach you integrity…
This kind of people needs to stay away from them..Its the first time I am doing this kind of posting because I really felt disgusted by the way the father showing such example to his son.
