According to a media release, a total of 8 men and 1 woman were arrested for their suspected involvement in illegal gambling activities.

The 9 individuals aged between 38 to 77 were arrested at Depot Road on the 02 Aug 2020 during a police operation. In the process, a total of $18,000 and some gambling equipment were seized.
Investigations are ongoing.
According to the law, anyone convicted for bookmaking could be jailed for up to 5 years, fined up to $200,000 or both.
