20TH DENGUE DEATH THIS YEAR, 25-YEAR-OLD S’POREAN – YOUNGEST TO DIE SO FAR

The Ministry of Health (MOH) said in a statement on August 5 that a 25 year old Singaporean has died from Dengue Fever, making him the youngest Dengue Fever casualty this year.

The number of people who have succumbed to Dengue this year have also risen to 20.

There are 391 active Dengue clusters at the moment, of which 18 of the 20 cases lived in.

The casualties are aged between 25 to 92 years old.

The last time Singapore saw a young casualty of Dengue was in 2016, when an 11 year old boy died from the fever.
