
Four teenagers aged between 15 to 20, were arrested by the police for a series of alleged sexual services scam.
They allegedly advertised sexual services and after receiving payment from their victims, they became unreachable.
One of the teens will be charged today (August 14) in court, while the investigations on the other three are still ongoing.
According to a statement by the Singapore Police Force, the police received multiple reports from victims between July 12 and July 15, who saw advertisements for sexual services on Locanto and after making payment, they were unable to contact or reach the advertiser.
After investigating, the officers from Jurong Police Division successfully established the identities of the suspects and they were subsequently arrested on August 11 and August 12.
Upon conviction of fraud, they could be liable for a sentence of up to 10 years in prison and fined.
